How accurate is Art Laser Cam?
Accuracy depends on calibration and stable camera tracking. For dependable placement, give the app a known reference: two pieces of blue painter’s tape, a measured phone-to-wall distance, or a compatible Bluetooth distance measure. Pro then calculates fastener positions from the dimensions and hardware profile you enter. Always verify critical marks with a physical tape or laser before drilling.
Does it need internet?
The installed Android app is designed to handle wall preview and alignment calculations on the device. A connection may still be needed to download the app, activate Pro, or use services that depend on an online account. Browser use requires access to the web page.
What phones work?
Art Laser Cam is designed for modern Android phones with a rear camera and motion sensors. Gyro leveling, depth-assisted tracking, and Bluetooth pairing depend on the sensors and permissions available on the specific phone.
Will the virtual frame stay on the wall when I move?
A calibrated reference helps the camera hold scale and position, especially on blank drywall where visual tracking can drift. Blue painter’s tape gives the camera strong landmarks while also supporting the stud overlay workflow.
